Dr. Katisha A. Douglas graduated with a MD from the University of Havana, Cuba. On completion; she did her internship at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Her experience included work in the Public Health Department in the Ministry of Health; which involved working at the National HIV/AIDS Secretariat and collaborating with the Department of Health Promotion and Education.
She is a certified HIV/AIDS counsellor and was involved in HIV rapid testing outreach programmes and assisted in various training workshops facilitated by the Ministry of Health and Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). She also has experience in the field of education; teaching Sciences and Health Family Life Education. She is a part-time lecturer of Pre-Med Chemistry at the American University of St. Vincent.
